Job Opening: Quest Designer
Location: California, USA | Remote
Type: Contractor
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of quest lines to drive decision-making with Narrative Design, Level Design, Environment art and other departments to create the highest quality quests possible.
- Blueprint scripting for custom game events
- Implement branching dialog and quest structures including reactive game states and scripting
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 4+ years of experience working as a Level Designer, Quest/Mission Designer, or Game Scripter, with relevant experience working on AAA titles, current and next-gen consoles
- Skilled in Unreal Editor game development, especially use of Blueprint for game scripting
- Demonstrates a firm grasp of branching dialog and quest progression in RPGs like those made by inXile
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Pluses:
- Experience working on RPGs with branching quest and dialog structures
- Experience writing quest and narrative design documents
