Job Opening: Production Coordinator
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Managers, leads and supervisors to track and manage the workflow meeting internal and external deadlines
- Participating in dailies, rounds and meetings, taking notes and following up on information as necessary
- Informing supervisors in dailies about deadlines, targets and other schedule information
- Ensuring the production database is updated daily with notes and critical information
- Communicating information quickly and succinctly to all relevant people in person and via electronic communication
- Communicating/setting up review sessions and dailies/meeting
- Being aware of notes and feedback to be addressed
- Anticipate and communicate issues to the Managers and Supervisor to resolve problems quickly
- Maintain an accurate summary of the progress artists are making on the work
- Review and maintain render priorities
- Oversee the execution of deliveries of all temps and finals
- Work with senior members of production to prioritize daily tasks and ensure the most important aspect of the work is addressed first
- Manage resources and communicate coherently on status and any change
- Manage new starters and holidays, sickness and TOIL as appropriate
- Help to maintain a positive, upbeat and professional production office, being proactive and solution-orientated
- Other ad hoc duties as may reasonably be expected
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as Junior Production Coordinator
- Highly organised, and excellent time/project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate exchange between departments
- Excellent leadership skills, comfortable working and collaborating with people. Able to work within a team towards a common goal
- Able to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
- Basic understanding of live-action and CG based visual effects workflows and pipeline and willingness to learn Outpost proprietary tools
- Good knowledge of MS Office packages (including Word, Excel and Project)
- Basic understanding of common file formats and resolutions
Desirable Skills:
- Software skills of artists managed (e.g. Silhouette, Maya, 3D Equalizer, Nuke etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience contributing to the maintenance of a project plan and schedule.
- A willingness to be involved in all aspects of the development process.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development and project management.
- Eagerness to learn new workflows and software tools.
- Previous experience in coordination of at least two VFX Feature projects (100 shots or more) into a well-known VFX Studio
- Knowledge of Shotgun
- Basic Linux skills
- Basic Avid/editorial knowledge
