Job Opening: Production Coordinator
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- As one of our production rockstars, your primary responsibility will be to track the progress of assignments and push them forward to completion. You’ll report to the Production Manager and/or Producer (depending on the project) and work closely with other key stakeholders (Creative Supervisor, Artists, Client, etc.).
- You’ll maintain and update individual schedules and project schedules as needed, ensuring that all work is completed on time, according to pre-established milestones.
- You’ll set up meetings and take notes, creating follow-up reports to outline action items for all relevant individuals. You’ll track the progress of those action items to ensure they’re completed as planned, and if a plan doesn’t exist, you’ll create one.
- You’ll communicate deadlines to Artists and other team members and resolve any uncertainties to ensure that everyone has the appropriate information they need to complete their work on time and at the required level of quality.
- You’ll request and manage resources, including equipment and software, to ensure that the animation / VFX work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- You’ll proactively identify and resolve (or escalate if necessary) any issues that arise during the production process, such as scheduling conflicts, roadblocks, impacts to established deadlines or technical issues.
- You’ll take on various projects and assignments as requested by the Production Manager and/or Producer(s) to help support the projects and the company as a whole.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Our ideal candidate will have experience in visual effects and/or animation and they’ll have a proven track record of excellence. They’ll have ideally already successfully coordinated a team of artists on several projects.
- We require excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others. If you’re a natural problem solver, have extreme attention to detail, are able to proactively identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during production, and can work calmly under pressure, you’ll be a great fit for us.
- Above all, we’re looking for someone with a strong passion for visual effects and animation who is committed to delivering the highest quality work
