Job Opening: Pre-Production Manager, Development
Location: Los Angeles, US
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, manage and capture all projects in development
- Manage projects schedules and drive various projects from early Development through pre-production
- Collaborate and work with Development Executives, Executive Producers, Production Supervisors, Department Heads, and executives to manage timelines and deliverables
- Partner with the Production Supervisors to assist with prioritizing talent roll-offs and roll-on dates
- Sync and align with show/project specific workflow requirements, processes and documentation
- Attend key production meetings, track key notes as needed and support various project goals
- Distribute a weekly production schedule tracking key milestones, talent and deliverables
- Create and track budgets
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in production management with experience in an animation studio, motion picture studio or production company
- Must have experience in animation production and be able to drive initiatives
- Must be organized, autonomous, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Must have knowledge of production budgeting, casting, and digital pipelines processes
- Must be proactive and with excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload and anticipate needs
- Must have the ability to work well under time constraints
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Airtable and ShotGrid
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience with Feature animation workflows, pipelines and deliverables
- Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team but be able to drive initiatives and communication
- Loves organization and attention to fine details
- Confident and able to drive projects forward
- Good communication at all levels
- Good sense of humor
