Job Opening: Real-time VFX Artist
Location: Poland – Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Creating concept designs and developing real-time VFX for mobile games in Unity
- Profiling and optimizing effects and game assets created by you or by others
- Customizing the VFX of game characters’ skills using internal tools
- Creating 3D models and animations for VFX when needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 2 years of work experience in the games industry
- Knowledge of the principles of motion, anticipation, dynamics, and other aspects of animation
- Firm knowledge of the Unity editor
- Experience creating VFX for games
- Experience creating or writing VFX shaders in node-based editors
- Knowledge of Houdini, Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max
- 3D modeling and 3D animation skills
- Experience creating UV maps and baking them
- Experience creating textures for VFX
- In-depth experience with Particle Systems in Unity
- English language skills at the pre-intermediate level or higher
- Understanding of mobile device hardware restrictions
- Ability to estimate the time to complete tasks
- Experience working with Houdini and Houdini Engine for Unity
- Hands-on experience with Substance Painter and Designer
- Experience working with GIT or similar version control systems
