Job Opening: Pipeline Supervisor (Unreal)
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Working with studio leadership to shape requirements for current and upcoming projects
- Heading team daily scrum meetings and regularly scheduled department and production meetings
- Overseeing traditional and UE pipeline tools for current and future linear and interactive content workflows
- Working with production and supervisors to formulate strategic plans and milestones for UE based workflows and interactive designs
- Maintaining and distributing code base to the studio and managing a robust and efficient development environment for the pipeline team to work within
- Overseeing technical briefs and code review standards and ensures best practices
- Partnering with the Management team to identify priorities and schedule task
- Liaising with production teams to help achieve project milestones
- Completing performance reviews of team members and recommending their growth strategy
- Overseeing Pipeline documentation and studio training including tutorials for artists
- Heading team recruiting including resume reviews, interviews, evaluations, job descriptions, etc.
- Researching technology and development trends to ensure the company is state of the art
- Performing other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned in the future
Qualifications & Skills:
- BA in Computer Science, or equivalent
- 10 + years in software development
- 2 + years in a leadership role
- Experience working in Unreal
- Experience coding in Python
- 2 + years working with Shotgrid API
- Previous experience working with Shotgrid Toolkit a bonus
- Previous experience working with Blueprints and C++ in Unreal Engine highly preferred
- Knowledge of DCC software and computer languages
- You’re an outstanding coach and enjoy mentoring and guiding through performance assessments
- You’re adaptable to change and can shift priorities as needed
- You have experience with user interface design in QT/PyQT
- You have experience working in the Windows OS and Linux
- You have a good understanding of scheduling, task estimates and capacity planning
- You’re an excellent communicator and promote good communication within the team
