Job Opening: Nuke Pipeline TD

Responsibilities:
- Develop the Nuke pipeline tools to cater to our studio’s wide project formats like, shortform, episodic, and feature animation projects.
- Work with Compositors throughout the studio to provide Nuke tools and gizmos that allow efficient work.
- Feedback to the wider pipeline team about progress and requirements within the compositing pipeline.
- Liaise with Lighting leads to ensure that tools work with rendering outputs correctly.
- Devise methods to increase efficiency and utilization to keep artists productive.
- Help resolve technical issues that have been escalated within the team.
- Ensure tools are deployed effectively by providing tutorials, documentation and handling user feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong programming abilities in Python with other languages being great plus points.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of feature film compositing pipelines, ACES and OCIO.
- Knowledge of compositing techniques and tools within Nuke such as Live-Groups and macros and how these can be augmented with supporting tool infrastructures.
- Experience with render engine AOVs and passes within Nuke and Render Engines.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Nuke as well as its scripting interfaces and/or API.
- Experience dealing with Render Farms and their submission / Job Monitoring tools and APIs
- Can work comfortably in IDEs such as- Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
- Understanding of source control (Github).
- Proactive approach to researching & adopting new tools and video review/proofing software tools.
- Solution-driven
- Strong problem-solving skills devising elegantly creative solutions or workarounds.
- Ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Extremely good organisation skills when juggling multiple projects and priorities belonging to different stakeholders.
- Very clear, efficient, and effective communication skills.
- Proactive and positive approach to resolving issues under pressure.
- Excellent English writing skills for creating and reviewing easy to understand documentation.
