Job Opening: Motion Designer
Location: Sydney, Australia
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Motion graphics and animation. Conceptualize and develop storyboards to create thoughtful and engaging motion graphics and animations for various channels and platforms.
- Video editing. Capture and edit video content for webinars, product launches, thought leadership campaigns, employer branding and more.
- Brand and product campaigns. Work closely with the creative director, producer, designers, and marketers to support global campaigns, launches and initiatives.
- Cross-functional collaboration. Collaborate closely with our creative studio as well as teams across the business from marketing to product to deliver targeted video and motion content, assets, and kits.
- Visual storytelling. Be a champion for visual storytelling across the business and contribute to the maintenance and evolution of Dovetail’s motion identity, guidelines, and systems.
- Taste-making. Stay up-to-date with the latest design and animation trends. Build best practices and experiment with new methods and solutions, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong motion design experience. A considered portfolio of motion design work that demonstrates a solid understanding of design and animation principles, confidence in applying brand guidelines and ability to translate brand strategy into compelling animations and videos.
- Attention to detail. You have a high-quality bar, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a constant desire to improve our customers’ brand experience.
- Software proficient. Experience with modern design and editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Figma, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
- Excellent communication. Ability to convey opinions, thoughts, and feelings with other teammates, founders, and customers. Honest, thoughtful, and transparent communication is critical.
- Highly collaborative. Comfortable working cross-functionally with adjacent roles to plan and deliver projects with velocity and intentionality.
- Live and breathe creative. Proven passion for developing engaging, memorable content.
