Job Opening: Mid Set Modelling Artist
Location: Leuven, Vlaams Gewest, België
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Modeling and UV mapping of stylized environments.
- Realizing a 2D concept to 3D and being able to work with a minimal design.
- Providing UV mapping and displacement maps from beacon for our Surfacing department.
- Create rendering tests for the approval process.
- Working within a team of Modeling artists and communicating regularly between your Team Lead, Directors and Art Director.
- Efficiently manage your resources and time to meet deadlines.
- Respond positively to comments and feedback from our Rigging Department, CG Supervisor, Art Director and directors.
- Report to your Team Lead and Production Manager if there are any issues affecting the schedule.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent animation production experience.
- Interpreting volume and form when modeling concept designs.
- Working with modeling tools in Maya and Zbrush
- Knowledge of clean topology
- UV mapping with Maya or UVLayout
- Knowledge of texturing assets with Substance Painter, MARI or Photoshop
- Team player and good collaborator
- Solve problems creatively
- Available from 28/08/2023 – 5/04/2024
Bonus points :
- Knowledge of Substance Painter
- Knowledge of Substance Designer
- Experience in supervising junior modelers.
