Job Opening: Mid/Senior Compositor

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the compositing process, collaborating closely with VFX Supervisors and Leads to ensure the seamless integration of CG elements, live-action footage, and special effects into stunning and realistic shots.
- Apply expert-level compositing techniques, including colour correction, tracking, matte painting, roto/paint, and multi-pass compositing, to achieve the desired artistic and technical quality for shots.
- Utilise Nuke to deliver high-quality results that meet project objectives and artistic guidelines.
- Independently manage and execute complex shots, addressing technical and artistic challenges with a high level of creativity and problem-solving ability.
- Mentor and guide junior compositors, sharing your knowledge, expertise, and best practices to help develop their skills and enhance the overall team’s performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including lighting, modelling, and texturing, to ensure cohesive integration of assets and achieve consistent visual aesthetics.
- Provide creative input and innovative ideas to elevate the quality of shots, sequences, and visual effects as a whole.
- Participate in reviews and feedback sessions, iterating on shots to meet artistic and technical standards while adhering to project deadlines.
- Maintain organised file structures and adhere to naming conventions, ensuring efficient data management and streamlined collaboration within the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Animation, Visual Effects, Computer Graphics, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience as a senior compositor in the visual effects industry.
- Extensive proficiency in Nuke.
- Expert-level understanding of 3D software (e.g., Maya) and experience integrating complex 3D elements into compositing.
- Demonstrated mastery of advanced compositing techniques, including green screen keying, motion tracking, and intricate matte painting.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of guiding and developing junior team members.
- Exceptional eye for detail, colour, lighting, and composition, showcasing a consistent history of delivering top-tier visual results.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
