Job Opening: Matchmove & Roto Animation ArtistÂ

We’re hiring a Matchmove & Roto Animation Artist with 2+ years of industry experience to join our growing VFX team. In this hybrid role, you’ll handle 3D camera/object tracking and roto animation (rotoAnim) to help deliver seamless integration between live-action plates and CG elements. If you have a sharp eye for motion and detail, and love working at the heart of the VFX pipeline — we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- 3D camera and object tracking using live-action footage
- Reconstruct camera motion using survey/lens data and real-world references
- Roto animation of characters and props using Maya and plate references
- Collaborate with layout, animation, and compositing teams
- Troubleshoot and optimize matchmove/rotoAnim for production efficiency
Must-Have Skills:
- 2+ years of production experience in Matchmove and Roto Animation
- Proficiency in 3DEqualizer, PFTrack, or SynthEyes
- Strong skills in Autodesk Maya (rotoAnim, camera work)
- Understanding of lens distortion, camera rigs, and tracking markers
- Experience working with character rigs and motion matching
- Basic knowledge of Nuke for projections and plate integration
