Job Opening: Senior Game Developer
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Implement new systems that are easily maintainable and scalable to support the game’s growth.
- Be a team player, mentor your peers to help them grow, feedback to them, and write understandable code.
- Clean and refactor code when needed. Pinpoint systems that would need to be reworked and suggest new designs for them.
- Support our well-balanced and efficient team with additional talent to achieve ambitious goals.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to create cohesive and engaging game experiences.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to integrate new features and improve existing ones
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in game development, but what matters most is the driving force and potential to move the game forward
- Be a true game maker, have a sense of game feel, and be passionate about making games
- Solid understanding of mobile gaming, game mechanics, gameplay, UI, and UX.
- Proficiency in Unity
- Have experience in game programming patterns (MVC, State Machine, Command, …)
- Ability to write robust, clean, and maintainable code.
- Flexible, autonomous, proactive, and accountable for their tasks
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Advanced level of English
- Having experience or interest in creating generic modules is a plus
- Previous experience working on a mobile game that scaled is a plus
