Job Opening: Lighting Artist [Mid to Senior-level]

Location: Sydney, Australia

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the lighting and compositing team to plan and execute high-quality renders and composites.
  • Develop and refine new lighting techniques that align with evolving project needs.
  • Perform quality control (QC) checks on output to ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Prepare and optimize assets for rendering, managing the entire lighting pipeline workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments, discussing project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A strong communicator and team player, comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for visual quality and consistency.
  • Highly organized, with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to project changes.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can contribute effectively to a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Maya and Nuke.
  • A minimum of 5 years of production experience in a VFX, animation, or post-production environment.
  • Experience with lighting and shading assets, with a solid technical understanding of rendering processes.
  • A proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges effectively.
  • Experience with Octane or similar rendering tools.
  • Previous VFX work on television or film projects.
