Job Opening: Lighting Artist
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Lighting preparation, according to project objectives /concepts for full CG shots or integrating the CG elements with the background
- Preparation of 3D lighting scenes based on key scenes (Light -Key Shot) in collaboration with director /supervisor
- Rendering 3D scenes in close collaboration with the compositing department
- Shading 3D elements in the cooperation with modeling/texturing department, according to director/supervisor instructions
- Managing feedback and technical challenges
- Clearly and regularly communicating with production management
- Working with department lead to improve tools and processes to increase department productivity
Qualifications & Skills:
- Basic practical knowledge of 3D graphics at Generalist level, preferably in the Houdini / Maya, with a focus on light /shading/ rendering /compositing
- Paying particular attention to the light, color, composition, paying attention to detail and aesthetics
- Practical knowledge or willingness of learning programs:
Houdini/Maya/Photoshop/Nuke/After Effects - Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to new processes and pipelines
Nice to have:
- Experience in photography or product/portrait photography, movies, paintings, etc.
- Good skills in many types of rendering engines
- Understanding of Nuke and the Composting Pipeline
- Understanding of Linux
