Job Opening: Level Design Lead

Location: Bellevue, Washington

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, mentor, and manage a level design team.
  • Manage tasks, priorities, and feedback for your department and team, along with performance management of your team’s career path.
  • Learn the in’s and out’s of the levels in our game along with all systems incorporated within them so you can jump into the levels to help get work done when needed.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to define and champion the project’s world pillars through level design and world-building.
  • Work closely with multiple disciplines to plan and scope features.
  • Drive knowledge sharing within and outside of the level design department.
  • Lead level design reviews and proactively guide the team towards good solutions and workflows. Playtesting the game and giving candid notes on how we can improve it.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience managing the shipping of at least 2 games from pre-production to ship.
  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Level Designer.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience as a Level Design Lead.
  • Have experience building for Co-op or online multiplayer experiences.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Experience developing multiplayer online action games.
  • Experience managing remote and on-site employees.
