Job Opening: Lead Modeling Artist for Iron Man
Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of modeling artists, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Evaluate and give constructive feedback on team members’ work to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the production management team to prioritize, schedule, and assign the work to our internal and external team members
- Collaborate closely with art directors, animators, and other departments to review and validate work priorities.
- Review assets and provide feedback as required to support our quality targets
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes for modeling, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and tools, integrating innovative techniques into the team’s work.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a game development environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience as a modeling artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D models.
- Proficiency in industry-standard modeling software such as Maya, Blender, or ZBrush.
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with the Unreal game engine is a plus.
- Background in both organic and hard surface modeling.
