Job Opening: Lead Level Designer
Location: Stockholm & London, Europe
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain multiple game maps and modes.
- Lead a team of level designers, under deadlines and time constraints
- Maintain an high level design quality, while respecting technical limitations and performance targets
- Help to craft environment theme and tone alongside the Art Director
- Partner with the art team to populate the level with props and furnishings
- Assist in the organization of internal and external user testing sessions.
- Engage with the internal QA department to develop testing plans that ensure quality and reliability in a networked environment
- Collect, analyse and apply data and user feedback as part of the iterative process of improvement to your level designs
- Build task breakdowns to assist with scheduling
- Help to establish level design standard methodology guidelines
- Track and report key issues and risks to production and project management departments
- Develop pipelines and processes to allow efficient and effective delivery of game environments, both for launch and as the game grows as a service
Qualifications & Skills:
- Confirmed 3D Level design experience and paper design (layout) skills
- Confidence and experience to self- manage and self- motivate
- Experience working on mobile as a gaming platform and F2P games is a plus
- Experience grey- boxing and fast- iterating levels based on user feedback
- Stay up to date with industry techniques, standards and workflows; aware of current & upcoming game titles & technology
