Job Opening: Lead Gameplay Animator
Location: Warszawa, Polska
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Guiding the team in creating high-quality animations that support the project vision
- Providing feedback to team members to ensure consistency and quality across the project
- Reviewing team members’ performance and providing paths for their individual development
- Supporting the team in day-to-day activities, identifying any issues they’re having, and working hand-in-hand with our Producers and Leads to solve them
- Refining and improving pipelines within the gameplay animation team and across departments
- Collaborating with production to identify risk and ensure the team are able to meet deadlines
- Collaborating with other Leads and cross-departmental strike teams
- Working with the tech-animation team to ensure the gameplay animators can deliver on the expected quality
- Delivering benchmark quality hand-keyed and mocap-enhanced animations when required
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 5 years experience in gameplay animation (ideally with one AAA title shipped)
- Professional experience in team management would be a huge plus
- Very good knowledge of Maya and/or Motionbuilder
- Experience working with both motion capture data and keyframe animation
- Highly skilled in gameplay animation, with experience giving feedback to others
- Very good understanding of the technical and design sides of game development in relation to animation (Unreal Engine knowledge is a plus)
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude with very good communication skills
- Proficiency in English
