Job Responsibilities:
- As a Lead Game Designer, you will be part of a small multi-disciplinary team that consists of members that have been working in the games industry for quite some time.
- It’s a team that works fast and you as a Lead Designer bring the necessary design skills to drive the team.
- You know how to develop the core, meta, and supporting systems and have a passion for games.
- You don’t fear to test, iterate and throw things away.
- You understand the value of data/analytics and understand how to translate that to product and engineering.
- While you’re not designing you enjoy reading deconstructions, talking to other designers about what’s next.
- Leading the design team, designing compelling game mechanics (a new RPG/Match3 genre) for a mature and female audience.
- Create a motivating work environment for the team and which fosters development and creation.
- Drive the growth and suggest development and interpersonal skills training and techniques sessions to the design team.
- Creating, balancing, and tuning game mechanics, levels, game difficulty, and UI flow.
- Designing and overseeing the development of features and LiveOps events to maximize players’ engagement and product KPIs.
- Owning the economy of the game, including modeling in spreadsheets or other suitable tools, communicating the economy intentions, and propose monetization designs that best fit our target group.
- Working closely with Product and Analytics in evolving and adapting game designs based on playtesting, feedback, and live metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- You have 4+ years’ of game design experience and you’ve shipped at least 2 free-to-play mobile games from inception to event-driven live operations.
- You understand the nuances and have experience in designing for specific target audiences.
- You have advanced expertise in using data and insights to design and tune game economies, monetization, and Game balance.
- Proactive attitude and fix-it mentality. You’ll take responsibility for the project and are not afraid to do tasks outside your role.
- You have excellent English communication skills (written & spoken): You can make your designs understood all the time regardless of how complex they are.
