Job Opening: Lead Environment TD – Unreal & Houdini

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of environment artists and technical directors, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Design, develop, and implement complex environment assets and systems using Unreal Engine and Houdini.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of environment assets into projects.
- Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and workflows to streamline the environment creation process and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to environment assets and systems.
- Optimize environment assets for performance and memory usage without compromising visual quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporate them into the environment pipeline.
- Provide technical documentation and training for team members on tools and workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Art, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a senior or lead role within the gaming industry, with a focus on environment art and technical direction.
- Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine and Houdini, including Blueprints, material creation, and procedural generation techniques.
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and shading.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or C++.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game development processes.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with other game engines and 3D software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Designer/Painter).
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for real-time rendering.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git).
- Familiarity with VR/AR development.
