Job Opening: Lead Artist
Location: Saint Julian’s, Malta
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Art Director and coordinates with studio leads on art objectives.
- Leads the art team making a significant and direct contribution to the creation of AAA art
- Influences the defining look and feel and communicates art style principles to the team
- Leads by example; demonstrates, communicate, and exemplify clear expectations for quality
- Proactively assists in defining art pipelines and best practices against industry benchmarks
- Explores new techniques and technologies to achieve the best possible results.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience leading a team or department producing a AAA product
- Ideally, a First in fine art, computer animation, digital media design, or a relevant degree
- An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of ability and traditional drawing skills
- Solid understanding of 2D/3D art packages; Maya/Max, Substance, Photoshop, ZBrush, etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable time-management and organizational skills
- A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic team player, positive and outgoing personality with a can-do attitude
- Genuine commitment to personal development
