Job Opening: Lead Animator

Responsibilities:
- Lead the animation team to make sure tasks are completed and they meet defined milestones within a timeline
- Have regular 1-2-1 sessions with your team members to support feedback and development
- Mentor the more junior members of the team and be their first point of contact for any issues they may have
- Attend dailies for your team
- Regularly provide feedback on work to your team to ensure standards are met and that they are delivering to schedule.
- Providing the best possible character animation, which is in line with the style of the show
- Liaising with the Animation Directors to make sure feedback from the client is correctly addressed and fixes to the animation are carried out
- Understanding the implications of performance, style, quality, continuity, technical, scheduling and budgetary requirements of the Production.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Professional experience as a Senior / Lead Animator, ideally for a feature film
- Extensive professional knowledge of Maya is essential
- Able to adapt to the style of animation that the specific show requires
- Strong knowledge of body mechanics and acting principles
- Ability to lead a team, mentor junior artists, and give them directions
- Ability to deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Solid understanding of the production pipelines
- Excellent problem-solver, communicator, and team player
- Willingness to take direction and address constructive feedback
