Job Opening: Layout Pipeline TD

Responsibilities:

Report to the Layout HOD
-
Act as the conduit between the layout team and the pipeline team, striving for the continuous improvement of the workflow and pipeline tooling

Advise Layout Artists on best practices

Adhere to the Pipeline best practice
-
Partner closely with Layout Supervisors in prioritizing fixes and tool improvements
-
Foster close collaboration with the pipeline on development projects.

Collaborate with peer layout and anim tds in supporting shots through the pipeline
-
Collaborate with Production to fix priority issues and support tasks in a timely manner
-
Support production supervisors, artists, and production staff in adopting new technology and techniques
-
Collaborate with the project managers and the training department to provide and integrate user-friendly documentation and tutorials for new tools and workflows

Support artists and production in the layout/editorial loop
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Proven experience in VFX or Feature Animation
-
Strong understanding of the VFX or Feature Animation production process and the role of the pipeline in delivering high-quality work.

A degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or another related field or equivalent working experience

Excellent Python and Linux skills
-
Experience in developing tools/scripts for DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini
-
Experience with renderers such as Renderman, Arnold, Mantra

Experience with source control systems and team management or development

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and stakeholders through the development process.

Experience in managing and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.

Works well under pressure and critical deadlines

Rigging/animation knowledge preferred
