Job Opening: Game Producer (Audio)
Location: Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work with the head of audio and the composers to help coordinate the production in line with the audio vision.
- Work closely with our audio software engineer to identify bottlenecks, and tech needs (pipelines and tooling), and liaise with TDs across different games and engines.
- Liaise with game teams’ designers/producers, devs, and marketing teams to identify the audio scopes, to drive the audio production schedules, ensure timely delivery of audio content across all games.
- Facilitate cross-field communications and collaborations with our partners, such as Dev Services, our proprietary engine team, and Legal to advance audio topics.
- Work closely with our outsourcing audio production partner to help deliver the demand for audio content.
- Support the information flow between the audio team and its collaborators.
- Support the production of audio schedules and budgets.
- Support the planning and prioritization inside the audio team to best meet the needs of the games.
- Where possible improve pipelines, methods, and the appropriate use of skills within the team to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the audio production.
- Proven track record in a gaming studio as a producer or in a producer/project management capacity.
- Minimum of 2 games published or 2 live games.
- In-depth knowledge of the audio production workflow in gaming.
- Good understanding of (mobile) game development.
- Fair understanding of audio middleware such as Wwise.
- Experience with commercial or proprietary game engines.
- Experience facilitating cross-team partnerships.
- Validated ability to run projects across multiple teams.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interpret and discuss technical and general audio topics with a wider audience of collaborators.
- Good proven understanding of resource management and project planning software – JIRA or similar (Monday, Trello, Smartsheet).
- Understanding of standard audio creation software – REAPER, Pro Tools, Audition.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Music composition, Sound design/sound editing skills would be effective.
- Familiarity with Python scripting, and the basics of C++ programming.
- Experience with implementing assets into games using game development tools, pipelines and technology.
