Job Opening: Junior Unity Developer
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work on the frontend of a high-quality simulation game and actively shape the technical direction
- Define and implement requirements derived from game design documents
- Create production-ready, high-quality code that can be easily maintained and shared
- Analyze and optimize the performance and resource consumption
- Collect and incorporate stakeholder requirements in advance, for example related to technology, methodology and tools
- Work closely together with Project Management, Game Design, QA, and developers from different departments
- Prioritize, multitask and perform in a deadline-oriented environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable qualification
- 1-2 years of professional experience developing video games using Unity
- Successfully worked on at least one shipped game with a substantial player base
- Extensive practical knowledge of modern C# and Unity including software architecture, design patterns, optimization and unit testing
- Good problem analysis skills and ability to find simple, robust, and efficient solutions for complex problems
- Broad hands-on experience analyzing and optimizing runtime and rendering performance as well as resource consumption
- Awareness of adequate UX and UI methodologies and implementation
- Team player who enjoys working with other departments on shared goals with a passion for games
- Experience working with Java or WebGL is a big plus
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
