Job Opening: Junior Concept Artist
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Creates semi-photo-realistic and stylized concept design from a written or oral brief.
- Draw up specification sheets, establishing dimensions & details for others to follow.
- Deliver on schedule and communicate challenges with Leads and/or Supervisors.
- Respond positively & proactively to feedback with personal and creative input.
- Ensure all working files are efficiently organized.
- Embrace challenges, design iterations, and problem-solving
- Follows the Lead’s and Art Director’s guidance
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ years in VFX, animation, or game industries as a Concept Artist.
- Strong portfolio showcasing professional and personal Art in 2D/3D.
- Good understanding of shape, light and color, composition, and perspective.
- Fluent in Photoshop.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Must be based in Wellington, New Zealand.
- Basic knowledge in modeling, texturing/shading, lighting, and rendering in Maya or Blender.
- Showcase of traditional Art and photography.
