Job Opening: 3D Previz Animator

Description: Our Previz Animator collaborates with VFX Supervisors to construct a rough representation of live-action and VFX sequences based on the client’s vision and description.
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate written/spoken descriptions or storyboard panels into 3D visualizations.
- Review scripts, editorial material to develop a strong sense of story and the overall project vision.
- Animation of vehicles, props, cameras, and basic characters, taken to a high degree of finish.
- Ensure the integrity of key assets that will be used down the pipeline is maintained.
- Submitting regular Work In Progress of a high caliber and presented in a consistent and clear fashion.
- Take direction from CG Supervisors and VFX Supervisors; animate and revise based on that direction.
- Work within a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years experience in a live-action VFX environment
- College certificate and/or degree in animation/VFX or relevant experience
- Highest proficiency in Maya
- Strong animation and shot design skills
- Understand dramatic storytelling and how previz interacts with and informs practical shooting
- Capacity to thrive in a results-driven pipeline
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve
- A proven eye for detail, scale, and realism
- A strong resume, demo reel, and references
- Understanding of Nuke ideal
- Eligible to work in Canada
