Job Opening: Rigging Artist

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Montreal, Canada

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creation and constant improvements of the deformation system skeleton of characters and props
  • Collaboration with the animation and modeling departments
  • Maintain and improve rigging tools (and other departments, as needed)
  • Collaborate with our team of artists to produce high-quality assets
  • Respect the planned deadlines and the high-quality standards of the company
  • Respect the guidelines of the projects

Qualification & Skills:

  • Diploma of studies in a program related to 3D
  • Studies or practice in arts, drawing, sculpture (asset)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cartoon character rigging
  • Experience in film, advertising, TV (asset)
  • Have excellent knowledge of coding with Python
  • Good mastery of topology for 3D characters
  • Good understanding of human and animal anatomy (asset)
  • Attention to detail and high quality of work
  • Timely execution of projects
  • Knowledge of Maya
  • Artistic sense and creativity
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and initiative
  • Curiosity and interest to develop and shine
