Job Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bringing characters to life using advanced scanning, rigging and animation techniques.
  • Liaise with Project Leads to ensure work is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Ensure assets created are stored in appropriate data repositories.
  • Ensure that all assets are well-organised and optimal at all times.
  • Use commercial and in-house tools to integrate characters, rigs and tools into the project data, ensuring data is functional and to a high standard.
  • Request and develop enhancements of in-house tools as per project requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrate a portfolio of work – rigging experience for professional VFX or animation projects.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of human anatomy and facial expression.
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya humanoid and facial rigging.
  • Programming/scripting skills (Python, Maya API, C++) for plugin and tool development.
  • Understanding of animation processes with the ability to collaborate with 3D, UX and Programming teams.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to write clear technical documentation.
  • Have an artistic flair, good communicator, team player and capable of working towards tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with VR.
  • Interest in or experience working with / preparing assets for Unity Engine.
  • Interest in or experience working with / preparing assets for Unreal Engine.
  • Experience using Motion Capture techniques.
