Job Opening: HR Advisor
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue employee/freelancer / worker contracts using the appropriate templates
- Track the return of signed contracts using DocuSign
- Work with Legal for additional wording as necessary
- Onboarding process for new starters
- Right to work and DBS checks
- Induction set up
- First day information
- Define employment status – PAYE roles, Freelance, FTS, Workers.
- Work closely with IT to guarantee systems access/equipment are ready from day 1, and are uninterrupted for contract extensions
- Input starter/leaver data into internal databases and online systems, ensuring these are kept up to date
- Tracking probationary review dates/contract end dates
- Work closely with Payroll to provide PAYE /Benefits information
- Liaise with multiple internal teams regarding their freelancer staff population, ensuring relevant HMRC and Company guidelines are followed.
- Organise files and maintain documents (electronic / printed)
- Maintain data quality and consistency and undertake regular auditing to ensure data quality is maintained within the various systems
- Responsible for the onboarding and offboarding process
- Provide managers with advice on different employment and freelance queries
- Creating and updating organisational changes
- Recruitment: advertising vacancies on LinkedIn and the company website
- Co-ordinating and assisting with training sessions and new starter inductions
- Overseeing the HR inbox, and ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely manner
- Management of holidays, leave of absence processes, including family leave, jury service, and sickness.
- Providing first-line advice on employment issues, escalating to COO/CFO as required
- Work in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and guidelines – both internal and external.
- Supporting managers with performance management of their teams
- Updating the ‘employee portal’ (company intranet)
- Visa tracking
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prioritisation of multiple admin tasks, delivering a strong service under pressure
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and confident using multiple online tools
- A meticulous, process-based approach to completing tasks with a great eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills to deal with staff at all levels in the Company
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, and able to demonstrate initiative, and work independently with confidence
- A calm, logical approach.
- Minimum 4 years working experience
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or working towards this level.
