Job Opening: Senior Automotive CG Generalist – Visualization
Location: Michigan, USA
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for creative concepts, storyboarding, modeling, animation, lighting, rendering (batch and real-time), compositing, and editing of 3D rendered elements, live-action elements, VFX, and sound, from concept to project completion.
- Prepare vehicle data for the CG rendering pipeline, interacting with designers worldwide.
- Balance work within a fluid creative design environment and with tight timelines & design frameworks. Project ownership and drive for high-quality deliverables with timing discipline.
- Collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure product success.
- Work with the cross-functional team during various visualization pipeline phases
- Maya, V-Ray, After Effects, and Unreal as a primary software
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of work experience in the Automotive, Visualization, or Design industries
- Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation, Digital Media, or related field
- 10+ years of work experience in the Automotive, Visualization, or Design industries
- Outstanding visual design skills with sensitivity to narrative-based storytelling and art direction.
- Demonstratable excellence in Maya, V-Ray, and After Effects as primary software required.
- Working knowledge of Unreal
- Strong 3DSMax, Nuke, and supporting VFX software a plus.
- 3D modeling abilities, including environment creation.
- Experience with game engines, including Unreal and Unity and other Real-Time rendering technologies.
- Game design/development practices, for simulation, visualization, and experimentation
- Data translation from Alias/VRED or similar formats to polygon data formats, including tessellation.
- Zbrush, Houdini, Craft Animation, Adobe Premiere (modeling, simulation, VFX, advanced editing & music integration) software experience a plus.
- Video editing (video & audio) and nuanced motion/animation skills (typography, motion graphics creation and integration) required.
- Demonstrated understanding & knowledge in automobile design (interior & exterior) and the design process.
- Autodesk VRED, render farm & CG pipeline experience recommended.
- Excellent written, oral, and visual interpersonal skills, professional work ethic
- Exhibit passion for innovative technologies, visual storytelling, advertising, and excellence in all aspects of automotive visualization
- Must possess excellent work ethic, integrity, and personal drive for achieving high-quality results.
