Job Opening: Human Resources Manager

Location: San Diego, California, US

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Support upper management in implementing human resource strategies depending on the organizational vision
  • Ensure all HR activities are in line with company objectives and values
  • Work closely with HR team members to develop and implement HR strategic programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction, retention and commitment levels
  • Act as a certified member of the joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Address employee concerns and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Promote a positive work culture that supports collaboration and creativity.
  • Act as a point of contact to respond to general HR related inquiries
  • Administer and explain benefits program to employees and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit provider

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in human resources as a generalist, business partner or other relevant experience
  • Must have completed either an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Human Resources Management and be working toward or have obtained a designation as an SHRM Certified Professional
  • Human Resources experience in the entertainment or creative industry is an asset
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
  • High level of attention to details
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Proficient in MS Office (able to develop reports in Excel, PowerPoint Presentations) and Google Suite
  • Demonstrates creativity and innovation in solutions
  • Be action-oriented and make decisions quickly
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Able to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
