Job Opening: Motion Designer
Location: London / Bristol, England, UK
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise, create, develop and pitch new innovative ideas
- Able to work effectively with other departments ensuring you maintain professional relationships throughout
- Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously with fast turnaround
- Be responsible for creating a positive working environment for colleagues from a diversity of backgrounds and experience
- Deputising where appropriate for senior team members
- Act as lead designer within the team to drive creative excellence
- As well as working on your own projects, you’ll be required to oversee work produced by other designers, as well as develop them, so must maintain accuracy and creative flair of their output
- Ability to use After Effects to an expert level
- Being client facing and managing client feedback with diplomacy
- Ensure that work is completed within time and budget. Able to flag any concerns at the outset of a project
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong creative mind with skills to realise designs
- A passion for motion graphics and aspirations to grow with Hello Charlie
- Able to hit deadlines and own their responsibilities on projects in creating and delivering effective design creative
- Ability to interpret clients’ ideas and add value to them
- Effective communicator internally across your team and to other teams
- Confident in presenting and pitching to clients
- Flexibility to travel nationally or abroad as and when required
- Keeps up-to-date with industry innovations and motion graphic trends
- Strong, relevant design experience in broadcast, production, live events, media, design, animation, 3D or a related design discipline
- An understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite and are able to use Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects to an expert level
- Expert in the understanding of layout, typography and high attention to detail
- Experience in design logos using a client’s brief
- A flair for typography that is evident within their work
- Branding and brand strategy are not essential but would be an advantage
- Although this role is not overly focused directly at CGI animation it would be an advantage that the candidate would have a strong understanding of how to integrate CGI within their work. Furthermore being able to use Cinema 4D to a moderate level or higher to help develop creative concepts would be an advantage
- Experience directing shoots
- Used to working within parameters of existing brand guidelines
- Delivering high quality motion graphics from Editorial Brief
- Leading a creative team, mentoring junior members of the team
- Managing your own work loads and projects
- Comfortable and confident interfacing with clients for presentations and project management
