Job Opening: Production Manager
Location: London, UK
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the project requirements in crewing the show alongside the Producer and Central Production Manager
- Create and maintain the project master and delivery schedules, including setting project priorities and milestones
- Ensure all relevant schedules are kept up to date within the production tracking database on a regular basis as well as time tracking
- Communicate with Producers, Coordinators, creative and technical leads regarding directives and production requirements of specific projects
- Oversee the Coordinators in the execution of the project task schedules
- Act as a point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day production team and the project’s senior management staff
- Manage the project Coordinators and/or assistants
- Oversee the coordination of dailies and reviews, ensuring accurate notes are taken and production priorities are distributed and followed
- Assist the Producer in generating internal progress reports for the production and management teams and forecast any delays or overages
- Act as liaison to facilitate VFX turnovers and ensure deliveries of the VFX work to client
- Work with departmental heads/supervisors to ensure artists are assigned to appropriate projects/tasks
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years experience in a VFX studio
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, a willingness and ability to learn new skills and technology
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Confidence and enthusiasm when communicating in person and in a remote/hybrid environment
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced creative team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical
- Must be a team player as well as be able to lead the team where necessary
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software especially Excel and FTrack
