Job Opening: Animator
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of artists, designers, software engineers, and producers.
- Create high-quality body animations for use in-game
- Retarget motion capture body and face data onto character rigs
- Coordinate with development partners to meet quality and creative targets, adjusting animations where required
Qualifications & Skills:
- You have 2+ years of experience in animation, preferably in games development.
- You have experience with Maya
- You have a solid understanding of the animation pipeline: Generating animation files, integrating them into the game/source control, and creating/modifying animation systems and state graphs.
- You have experience with motion capture data and applying that data to existing character setups.
- You are used to working with a game engine. We use Unreal but any relevant experience is useful.
- You are passionate about your craft and a continuous learner.
- You enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team.
