Job Opening: Game Designer
Location: Germany
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Design all major game systems including combat, exploration, demolition, construction, crafting, elemental, and survival together with your colleagues.
- Work in conjunction with development, art, and production team members to collect and collate initial and iterative feedback from all aspects of the game for features, systems, and content.
- Continually verify iterative designs and implementation through playtesting and observing others playing.
- Create and maintain design documentation that will guide the teams.
- Design, iterate based on feedback and tune all content metadata: foes, gear, ressources/economies, player skill, combat.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of work experience as a Game Designer in the industry
- Excellent understanding of game design fundamentals and knowledge of what makes a gameplay experience engaging.
- You are self motivated and good at getting things done.
- Passionate team player who wants to grow and make an impact on our game.
- One or more shipped titles using Unreal
- Proven experience in designing and balancing in-game economics, crafting system or player progression system
- Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine
- Knowledge in either open-world, survival, live service game, or MMORPG.
