Job Opening: FX Supervisor
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create a variety of realistic visual effects, including destruction, smoke, fire, water and paranormal phenomena
- Respond to, identify and define FX department requirements, communicate with team members to follow up
- Review simulations and provide timely feedback based on client requirements
- Participate in the recruitment efforts of the FX department by reviewing and interviewing applicants
- Cooperation with CG Director and Department Manager as Department Roadmap Expansion
- Provide constructive suggestions for improving work and processes within the created pipeline
- Develop and explore new ways to improve work results and FX teams
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working in live FX and at least 5 years of experience including supervisor or lead roles
- Those with creative and artistic talents
- Knowledge of Houdini or 3ds Max (required)
- Experienced in creating various simulations (destruction, atmospheric, fluid, supernatural, etc.)
- Those who have an understanding of various scales of physics, realistic movements, and various natural phenomena
- A person with strong technical skills, the ability to quickly learn new software, and a passion
- Strong will to grow, learn new ways, and share knowledge with others
- Ability to manage schedules with the production team
- Those who not only carry out projects but also have manpower management skills
- A person who has excellent communication skills and can work with an open mind
- Able to work collaboratively with other team members in a fast-paced team environment
- Synthetic and computer language experience preferred
