Job Opening: Rigging TD

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with supervisors, character designers and animators about the physical attributes of and movements of characters
  • Develop, test and maintain rigs for a wide range of styles. From stylized cartoon characters to realistic creatures as well as props.
  • Develop modular rigging systems through MEL/Python.
  • Develop publishing workflows/tools for rigs and animation.
  • Provide proactive support to animators and team members
  • Set up test procedures to minimize problems with the rigs further down the pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain character motion and deformation systems
  • Develop new techniques and processes to solve character production challenges
  • Work with lead TD’s and artists in other departments to integrate rigs in our pipeline.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 3 years of documented experience in a production environment
  • Excellent understanding of anatomy and biomechanics.
  • Knowledge of traditional animation techniques and the principles of character motion
  • Fluent in MEL and Python
  • C++, Maya API knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in Houdini is a big plus.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
