Job Opening: Assistant Editor

Location: Montreal, Canada

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the reception, import, and classification of media according to established nomenclatures;
• Perform verification and technical validation of files;
• Process the various archives (photos, video, audio);
• Prepare editing projects for offline;
• Send projects to the mix and online stage;
• Provide technical support to assemblers;
• Prepare and perform all video output and ensure quality control.

Qualifications & Skills:

• DEC in television production or equivalent experience;
• At least two (2) years of experience as an assistant editor;
• Good knowledge of the stages of post-production in image and sound;
• Mastery of software such as Avid Media Composer, Premiere and Resolve;
• Mastery of After Effects, Photoshop, or Protools, an asset;
• Basic computer and network knowledge;
• Autonomy, great availability and flexibility in terms of schedules.
