Job Opening: Texture Artist
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality texture maps for assets at their skill level.
- Collaborate with the CG Supervisor, Lead Texture & Lookdev Artists to execute the required look of CG characters and Hard Surface assets.
- Maintain continual and efficient communication with the Look Dev, Modelling, Environment and Production departments.
- Execute quality control of texture maps prior to publishing to ensure consistency.
- Respect schedules and deadlines while delivering texture maps of the highest standard.
- Communicate with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines.
- Share workflow techniques, ideas & reference materials with the team.
- Strive to keep their skills current & up to date with new tools, software, and other related technology relating to their discipline.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and production experience of Mari, Substance Painter and Designer and Photoshop
- Experience in a 3D package
- The ability to work within a team of other Texture Artists or independently
- A commitment to creative collaboration within the team and with other departments
- Proactive and excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- The proven ability to work well under pressure
- Open to direction and able to embrace change
- Attention to detail
- Reliable with good timekeeping and the ability to meet set deadlines
- Previous film experience
- Modelling and Lookdev skills or experience
