Job Opening: Tech Artist / Animator
Location: Freelance/Remote
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Add procedural motion to characters in Unreal using tools like Control Rig dynamics, Chaos flesh, and cloth. It’s OK if you’re not familiar with those particular systems yet but you should have prior experience setting up and tuning soft body physics simulations
- Build a library of reusable body parts (eyes, tongues, tails, etc) with modular rigs in Unreal that we can use for kitbashing new characters
- Create interactive grooms for a variety of creatures (hair, fur, and feathers)
- Basic rigging (in Maya or Blender)
- Basic hand-keyed character animation
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of professional experience in games
- 3+ years of experience in Unreal
Nice to haves
- An interest in animal behavior and anatomy
- Experience with Control Rig
- Experience with Houdini
