Job Opening: 3D Animator
Location: Belgium, Europe
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Rig and Animate 3D models of biped or quadruped characters on Blender
- Prototype and quick draft of placeholder animations
- Ensure optimization, consistency and quality of the animations
- Lead and manage motion capture session if any
- Integrate the animations into the current project and solve animation-tight gameplay challenges
- Meet deadlines and respect the technical limitations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced level of proficiency in a major 3D animation package
- Knowledge of the Blender animation pipeline
- Advanced understanding of animation needs for a real-time game project
- Knowledge in techniques of rigging and skinning for character animation
- Not afraid of complex technical animation implementation, tight gameplay related integrations and debugging (tech background).
- Experience with Unreal and Unity
- Familiar with Git and content integration in a game engine
- Good instincts for motion design and what makes a good game animation
- Core for details, polish and the look and feel of the final product (a game)
- Dedicated to individual and team growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both virtually and in person
- Collaborative attitude & responsible autonomy : you are autonomous in a team, you identify and create your own tasks, you deal with problems and find solutions, individually or as a team
Plus:
- Knowledge in storyboarding is a plus
- Experience with motion capture process is a plus
- Knowledge of motion design is a plus
