Job Opening: Head of 2D
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Define and plan individual projects for the 2D department from start to finish
- Create and lead a team of 2D artists, including monitoring and managing workload and tasks within the 2D Team
- Ensure the volume of work is in line with the artists’ creative abilities
- Provide oversight of the quality control process including making necessary adjustments to ensure that the final product meets technical specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with the other production departments to prepare bids, plan resources for upcoming projects, and ensure smooth production flow
- Interact with HR and management on the recruitment process
- Take responsibility for the mentoring, development, and training of 2D artists
- Support and assist the IT department with technology innovation
Qualifications & Skills:
- You’ll have experience as Head of 2D / Compositing Supervisor on live-action VFX projects or in another relevant lead role
- Ability to find the most suitable and effective solutions and meet deadlines
- You’ll be an expert in Nuke
- You’ll have excellent communication skills both towards clients and internal teams
- You’ll demonstrate a creative approach to the work and have good judgment in ensuring the highest quality standards
- You’re fluent in English
- You’re comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions
- You’re results-oriented, accountable, and organized
