Job Opening: Environmental Artists
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Creating worlds and environments, from individual assets through to entire levels or sets.
- Maximizing opportunities of assets for reuse, modular construction, and technical efficiency.
- Set dressing levels, conveying a sense of depth and storytelling.
- Terrain creation, using heightfields, modeled elements, and using object scattering/placement tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- You should have a good understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding modeling and world-building. You possess a solid understanding of the architectural structure, industrial design, and the details necessary for crafting the building blocks of believable environments.
- Asset creation abilities for mostly hard surface/architecture with a small number of organic assets/vegetation as well.
- Experience creating complex terrains, using hand-authored and/or procedural workflows and tools.
- Experience breaking down levels/scenes into efficient asset sets and components.
- Experience working with industry-standard game engines such as Unity.
- The ability to adapt to and innovate new styles and techniques.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to take critique and art direction.
- Passion for video games.
- Both junior and senior artists are welcome to apply.
