Job Opening: Creative Director, Motion

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Be the agency’s leading expert in editing, shooting and all motion executions
  • Lead projects through all phases including creative development, pre production, production/shooting, post production, editing, graphics, finishing and delivery
  • Collaborate with the video team and editorial team on creative development and postproduction
  • Be an active creative leader in idea generation, brainstorming and creative thinking
  • Straddle between creative leadership and producing hands-on work when necessary
  • Oversee the development of Scopes of Work and budget parameters in conjunction with project managers and the video producer(s) and production manager(s)
  • Stay abreast of new motion graphic and video production trends and suggest new ways to implement these trends/technologies
  • Attend and participate actively in relevant team, agency and client meetings
  • Maintain the highest knowledge of social media strategies and networks, specifically those pertaining to video
  • Develop and grow the Motion team including handling team performance reviews and professional development and training
  • Balance multiple projects/clients at once, prioritize work with evolving timelines, budgets and availabilities, and anticipate issues in the process
  • Be accountable for delivering high-quality work on time and on budget
  • Convey the role of Motion/Creative team agency-wide, building confidence in and understanding of the discipline
    and offering

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10 years of experience in a video production environment
  • Exceptional skills in all phases of video production, from pre- to post production
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
  • Knowledge of the latest production equipment (cameras, software, digital workflows, lighting and audio)
  • Knowledge of roles and rates and how to build the right crew for each project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills — you will be interacting directly with clients and account teams
  • Must be focused on delivering great work, no matter how big or small the project
  • Must be well versed in Premiere Pro and After Effects post production capabilities and be able to effectively guide a project through the post production phase
  • Must be team-focused and work well with editors, producers, developers and designers
  • Working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Adobe Suite and video file conversions and management
  • Proven success fostering relationships and building confidence with clients
