Job Opening: Animation Director
Location: Nova Scotia (Remote)
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the production and establishing the style and tone of the animation and show
- Setting expectations with your supervisors while guiding/supporting them with the challenges that may arise
- Provide direction and clarity to the team on how to execute the intended vision
- Maintaining an overall view of production, ensuring episode quality meet/surpass the client expectation
- Act as a creative liaison between the production crew and the client
- Acting as the go-to resource for your team and providing feedback as needed
- Ensuring artists and the team are maintaining consistency with style and execution as per requirements of the production
Qualifications & Skills:
- The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Traditional/2D Animation or equivalent technical training and/or a demo reel displaying the required skills
- Experience supervising or directing animation teams
- Flash experience necessary with an impeccable understanding of Animation Principles
- Able to work efficiently with rigs
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work coupled with excellent written communication skills
