Job Opening: Concept Artist (mid-level)
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create environment, props, characters, and creature concepts
- Takes quick, iterative sketches and develops them into a final result that can be used by the environment and character artist.
- Paintovers of Greybox gameplay spaces and models
- Detailed designs for Game Level architecture
- You present design concepts to the team, making assessments of how your choices will impact different disciplines within the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in interdisciplinary creative projects
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or other 2D software
- A portfolio that demonstrates your knowledge and understanding of composition, light and color, anatomy, architecture, and perspective.
- Ability to follow the established style of the project
- Ability to make quick sketches to convey a general idea or concept
- Ability to collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop creative variations
- Preferably living in the Randstad: presence at the studio in Rotterdam is required for at least 3 days a week;
- And of course, you have a huge passion for games!
- A plus point is: knowledge of 3D software (3dsMax/Maya/Blender or similar) and Zbrush
- Dutch and English.
