Job Opening: Compositor
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative approaches, computer graphic elements, miniature and CGI sources, seamlessly integrate all the layers.
- To seamlessly integrate all the layers or elements of a shot, including live-action and computer graphic elements.
- Will be required to do Matte extractions from blue/green screens.
- Take part in client reviews and follow production methodologies.
- Experience in using Nuke, After Effects and strong eye for details.
- Will be working closely with the lighting team, roto artists and render wranglers to ensure the smooth running of the production pipeline.
- Taking responsibility for continuity of shots and effects of the entire work.
- Ability to do some keying, rotoscoping and creating mattes as required.
- Conducting quality assurance of visuals and correcting errors before final composition.
- Ensuring the director’s vision of overall style is delivered.
Qualification & Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in CGI compositing with expertise in Nuke
- Strong artistic skills & Attention to detail
- A good eye: recognize what makes an image appear realistic in terms of light, colour, composition and perspective & knowledge of photography: understand cameras, cinematography and how films are made
- Knowledge of compositing programs: be adept at using relevant programs such as After Effects, Blackmagic Fusion, Houdini, Maya, Nuke and Photoshop
- Collaboration: be able to work with other VFX artists, use each other’s resources effectively and efficiently
- Working on deadlines: work within given time frames, be able to complete work under pressure
- Ability to analyze visual elements and make them consistent throughout
- Knowledge of the visual effects pipeline
- Proficiency in cinematic lighting, how shadows work in the real world
