Job Opening: Compositing Supervisor
Location: Santa Monica, CA, US
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets on time and at a high level of quality;
- Direct dailies sessions and participate in rounds, providing ongoing creative feedback to the artists;
- Ensure that the quality of the work from the compositing team is of the highest of standards;
- Maintain the proper work flow methodology for all artists – mentor the compositing team when required;

- Perform reviews for talent in the Compositing department and provide ongoing feedback from running shows and post mortems;
- Work closely with the CG team to ensure proper flow and execution of CG elements for compositing;
- Work closely with the Show Set-Up Supervisor, Pipeline team and Production for setup and quality control of the 2D image processing pipeline of
- the project from ingestion to delivery;
- Report to Production to update status and manage risk to help execute the creative vision of the project on time and on budget.
Qualifications & Skills:
- An ability to be a team player, first and foremost;
- 10+ years working experience or demonstrated equivalent capability;
- Excellent English language skills, written and verbal;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail;
- Expert working knowledge of Nuke and other relevant software;
- High level commercial visual effects experience;
- Master level understanding of compositing technology and methodologies;
- Guru level experience in compositing;
- Possess extremely strong technical, artistic and leadership capabilities;
- Efficiently and clearly communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas;
- Strong technical, artistic and leadership capabilities;
- Excellent understanding of the technical and organizational aspects of the compositing pipeline;
- Expert working knowledge of Nuke and other relevant software;
- Expert working knowledge of review and annotation tools and procedures;
- Good working knowledge of Linux.
