Job Opening: Compositing Lead
Location: Germany
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Lead sequences with higher complexity for the consistent overall look of the sequence.
- Work collaboratively with Lighting Leads to develop sequence-specific techniques to achieve the aesthetic goal of the sequence.
- Develop and implement compositing solutions for sequence-specific challenges.
- Distribute the developed techniques and skillset to the sequence compositing TDs.
- Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, color grading, 3D projections, and roto/paint work.
- Help when help is needed and keep a cool head when the office seems to burn.
- This position requires you to work on-site.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with Nuke.
- Nuke scripting and customization in Python.
- Demonstrated a strong understanding of the lighting pipeline.
- Experience in 3D Matte painting is strongly preferred.
- Experience with deep compositing.
- Basic knowledge of matchmoving software and workflow.
- Team leading experience.
- Advanced knowledge of 3D space compositing and multi-channel exr workflow.
- General knowledge of Maya and/or Houdini.
- Very good at working with deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Perfect eye for details and realism/feature film experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A great sense of humor is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
